Gohan's at it again!

Gohan once again proves he has no idea what the hell he's talking about. Check this topic out. Once again, Gohan makes the utterly ludicrous claim that "good" MUGEN creators (like him, of course) don't ever, EVER need debug mode to find problems in their characters. This is, of course, a load of crap, because as ANYONE who's ever programmed ANYTHING in ANY programming language knows that things don't always work as you expect. Hell, most people who don't live in a fantasy world know that things don't always work like you think they do - this is hardly an exclusive concept to computers.

And, of course, no one has perfect typing. One of the biggest uses of debug is to catch silly typos, like entering the wrong variable or action number. Are you saying, Gohan, that a "good" programmer can immedietly catch all his typos before he even tries the character? For someone coding complicated code, debug can be AMAZINGLY helpful in finding out where and when you made a mistake in your coding, or to find out what's just not working. Ask anyone who programs for a living, and they will surely tell you that they don't get everything right when they write it.

Re: Gohan's crap about reading the docs making you unable to get something wrong - uh, yeah right. Maybe I'm just not as smart as you, but I've often coded stuff that doesn't work right, even while consulting the docs. It took use of debug and trial and error to get it right. If any retard could read a manual and instantly write flawless code the first time, there wouldn't be badly written, buggy software out there. Get a fucking clue.

As for deliberetly leaving in bugs in your code - yeah, that's brilliant. Leaving in code that's broken intentionally is a bad idea, period. You never know when your "copy protection" might cause unintented errors -- wait, my bad. Gohan is too good a coder for that. He doesn't make errors. He makes flawless characters, because he read the docs once.

One last comment on Gohan's ramblings: of course you'd never need to use Debug mode to check anything in your code. All your characters are the fucking same. You just swap SFF and SND files and change which animations are used for the generic projectile, throw, and autocombo attacks. Someone who is coding a complicated move that uses multiple states, variables, and actually does something unique may well need to see when the character changes states, or the current value of a variable, or any of the other many details debug can give you. If you honestly believe you don't need to use debug, that's your choice. But claiming it's only used by thieves is just silly. I'm sure many of the foreign creators you worship like gods use debug to check their codes. Guess that makes them thieves, huh?

As for Slack: We can't hack, so quit claiming we hack sites. It just makes you look even dumber than you are. Quit acting like your Ryu is the best thing ever made.

Original or back-up.

So how do you keep track of where the player was and in which direction he faced when he did the move that's being replayed? Looks like they're just going to pile up under him. Making shadows of a state appear only when the next state starts would look really jerky.

"as Sunboy has in 'his' famed code"

Don't imply that I didn't write all of my own code. I did, and it works. =D

Hm... This Into the Woods of Belial is pretty good stuff.

Back in the saddle again.

I have decided to reclaim my site from the twisted grip of Karis and LegatoB. I, unfortunately, wasn't around for the hacking of DDM, as I was too busy rolling around in my own feces. I suddenly got the urge to be like Faye. Sue me.

In this update, Darkmasters still thinks people care about his overly pathetic Psycho Shredder.

By the time you read this, DDM should be back up. It took me all night to figure out the password. It seems Gohan changed it to "slooflirpa." Weird choice.

Anyway, I've taken precautions to make sure this never happens again. You went too far this time, Gohan, and you will regret it.

"Groundlessly allusive? What a redundantly repetitive accusation there..."

ground·less
adj.Having no ground or foundation; unsubstantiated: groundless optimism.

al·lu·sive
adj.Containing or characterized by indirect references

Care to explain your train of thought, Gohan? I'm struggling to see even the remotest similarity between the two words.

"Gohan, did you do something to DDM, because that's what this sounds like. It is great & all, but I have a feeling that this won't be the end of them. Oh boy, here when the sh*t is going to start hitting the fan, big time! "

You're an IDIOT.

"Gohan i got to give u your props for what u just did site was getting on my nerves "

So are you.

"Also, supposedly, this is ALL on Sunboy's hard drive anyway, so Sunboy could just bypass it anyway in some form if needed."

Haha, where do you come up with this crap? Once again, you say something that's simply not true.

Yay~.
